AJL is committed to encouraging junior linguists to have opportunities to present their work at a formal academic conference. Junior linguists mainly include undergraduate students studying linguistics, but Master's and PhD level submissions will also be welcomed.
Plenary speakers are:
Celeste Guillemot (Hosei University) "Perceptual biases in the acquisition of second language pronunciation"
Soo-Hwan Lee (Gyeongsang National University) "What Bantu languages tell us about nominalizations"
Linmin Zhang (NYU Shanghai) "A Degree-QUD-based perspective on informativeness: The cases of cumulative-reading sentences and multi-head comparatives"
The 10th AJL conference will be held at the International Christian University, located in Tokyo, Japan.
The conference will be hosted in person at the International Christian University, and a Zoom component will be used for participants who cannot attend in person.

- Please submit a PDF file
- In-progress research is welcome, and should be indicated clearly in the abstract. The abstract should also provide details of the analysis and predictions or expected findings.
All participants who submit an abstract should request their advisors to separately submit an approval form by October 4, 2025, using this link: https://forms.gle/N13oS9KoUJNJdKGK9
(For multi-author abstracts with multiple advisors, please arrange for the advisor of the first author to submit the approval form.)
