The Fourth AMC Symposium: Contact and Language Change (AMC4Sympo)

The fourth AMC Symposium will take place on 2-4 December 2024, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Symposium Theme is "Contact and language change"
Our six invited speakers (see below) will address this theme from a variety of theoretical and empirical backgrounds.
Further papers are invited on this topic (see brief on the symposium website), however, we will also papers on any topic in historical linguistics, with no restriction on target languages or sub-disciplines.

Submission instructions:

Presentation slots for regular (non-invited) talks will be 30 minutes (20-minute talk + 10-minute discussion).
Posters are also given pride of place in the the Symposium, with 1.5 hour slots for presentation and discussion.
If accepted, your submission may be offered a slot for either a poster or a talk.

Please submit abstracts of up to 400 words (excluding references). Submissions will be subjected to a double-blind peer-review process. Please make sure that submitted files (.doc, .pdf, .txt, or .odt) are fully anonymised.

No more than one individual and one co-authored paper will be accepted per participant.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by 15th June 2022.

The language of the conference is English.
