The Center for Language Research of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Rijeka, Croatia, in collaboration with CLARIN Hr, and DARIAH Hr, invites you to participate in the international scientific conference “Language and Language Data”.
We invite the submission of abstract proposals for individual papers and panels that address the empirical, theoretical, and methodological aspects of the relationship between language and language data, focusing on:
- Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing
- Tools, Resources and Applications of Large Language Models, ML and AI
- Corpus Linguistics
- Language data in Education
- Language data in Sociolinguistics, Pragmatics, and Discourse Analysis
- Language data in Culture and Cultural Studies
- Language data in Tourism
- Language data in Medicine and Public Health
- Language Data and its Legal and Economic Implications
Papers and panels focusing on any language and adopting any theoretical perspective are welcome. We particularly welcome interdisciplinary papers and panels. Working languages of the conference are English and Croatian.
Submission instructions:
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract describing work to be presented at the conference. The extended abstract will be published in the book of abstracts at the beginning of the conference. The extended abstracts should be 1-3 pages long, formatted according to the conference guidelines (https://cji.uniri.hr/wp-content/uploads/Conference-template-A4.doc).
The full papers will be published in the conference proceedings on the conference website under the Creative Commons license after the conference.
