We are proud to announce the 9th installment of the Linguistics Conference at the University of Georgia (LCUGA 2025). The theme of this year's conference is "Connecting the Disciplines through Language". The conference will be hosted on March 15-16, 2024 in Athens, GA.
We will be joined by two plenary speakers:
- Dr. Justin Royer, University of Montreal
- Dr. Celeste Lee, Spelman College
As an interdisciplinary conference, we encourage submissions from any field related to language. Authors may submit abstracts for any of the following:
1) Oral presentation of completed or nearly completed work (20min, plus 5min of discussion),
2) Poster presentation of completed or nearly completed work.
3) Sandbox Session (New!): for work in early stages which could benefit from feedback from peers,
4) Learner Engagement Workshop (New!): for language instructors and teaching assistants to share classroom activities to make their classes even more dynamic and engaging for learners!
Submission instructions:
Abstracts should not exceed 500 words (not including title and references); examples should be incorporated into the text. Relevant figures and tables should be on included on a single separate page. Workshop presentation proposals should not exceed 200 words and should include a title and a brief description of the teaching strategy. Abstracts must be in PDF or Word (.doc/.docx) format, and must not include any identifying information. All submitted abstracts will undergo double-blind peer-review evaluation.
