March 20, 2026 - March 22, 2026

https://easyabs.linguistlist.org/edit_conference/LVMH

LVMH brings together researchers exploring the rich landscape of minority languages, heritage languages, and other non-standard varieties. This free-for-all, open-access-friendly, three-day in-person event aims to advance our theoretical understanding and empirical knowledge of linguistic diversity beyond standard language norms.
We invite submissions that address, but are not limited to, the following themes in heritage grammars, minority languages, and other non-standard varieties:
• Theoretical approaches, including grammaticalization processes, syntactic variation and change, interface phenomena, models of linguistic contact and convergence, formal approaches to dialectal variation, usage-based theories of grammar in non-standard contexts, or relevance of such non-standard varieties to accounts of bi-/multilingualism
• Empirical studies, including corpus-based investigations of non-standard grammatical patterns, experimental studies on heritage language acquisition and processing, sociolinguistic variation in minority language communities, cross-generational grammar transmission and change, code-switching and multilingual grammar interfaces, or typological studies of endangered and minority languages
• Language documentation and revitalization, including grammar writing for non-standard varieties, digital humanities approaches to minority language documentation, community-based language documentation methodologies, pedagogical grammars for heritage language learners, or technology and tools for non-standard language analysis
• Applied perspectives, including educational implications of grammatical variation, language policy and minority language rights, clinical applications in multilingual contexts, translation and interpretation challenges, or media representation of non-standard varieties
