SECOL 2026 - Language in an Age of Acceleration
In a time marked by rapid technological, social, and cultural shifts, Language in an Age of Acceleration invites scholars to explore how linguistic practices evolve alongside changing modes of communication, shifting identities, and global interconnection. We welcome submissions in English or Spanish on all areas of linguistics that examine questions of variation, change, adaptation, and innovation—whether in local communities, virtual spaces, or global networks.

Join us in Atlanta to examine how language shapes and responds to an accelerating world.
